ICE scrapers were at the ready this morning as temperatures dropped to a frosty -2.6C in Bournemouth.
Figures from the Met Office show it was nearly -2C in the early hours of this morning, dropping to -2.6C around 7am.
If follows a chilly weekend, with gritters sent out across the county to ensure roads were safe.
Dorset County Council did their first gritting run of the season on Saturday night, while Bournemouth treated the roads on Friday night in preparation for cold weather on Saturday.
This week, temperatures will be slightly warmer with sunny spells today.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, there will be heavy rain overnight into Tuesday morning, with showers also forecast for Wednesday.
Thursday looks dry, with the top temperature around 10C and Friday could see showers early in the morning and late in the afternoon.
