THE sun might be making an appearance this week, with more dry spells forecast for Dorset.

After the deluges of the last few weeks, the outlook for the week ahead looks a little more optimistic, although temperatures are still below the July scorchers of previous years.

Monday is currently set to be dry, although will be overcast for part of the morning and afternoon, with the highest temperature around 17C.

On Tuesday there will be sunny spells and slightly warmer - around 19C. Wednesday will be a sunny day until later in the afternoon, predict the Met Office, and Thursday will be cloudy and around 18C.

Friday is likely to see more sunshine but this forecast could change as the week progresses.

Pollen levels will remain high or very high.
