Four may be back for Lions clash
DECISION: Kevin Bond
DECISION: Kevin Bond

BOSS Kevin Bond faces an intriguing selection dilemma ahead of the next phase of Cherries' mission improbable.

Bond must decide whether to change a winning team following Cherries' against-all-odds triumph over Tranmere on Easter Monday.

Defensive big guns Josh Gowling and Warren Cummings, together with top goalscorer Sam Vokes and Brett Pitman, are all expected to be in contention for tomorrow's visit of Millwall.

But following the heroic exploits of his makeshift team against Tranmere, Bond admits none of the quartet is guaranteed to earn a recall against their fellow League One strugglers.

Bond, who blooded youth team pair Josh McQuoid and Billy Franks against Rovers, said: "I'm not getting carried away and neither should anyone else with what was an incredible performance.

"If other players are available, I'll have to assess it. It's not a foregone conclusion that I will bring them all back into the team but it would certainly give me options.

"I'm hoping to have Josh, Warren and Brett available and we'll have to wait and see how Sam is when he comes back from international duty with Wales."

Bond yesterday completed the signing of goalkeeper David Forde, on loan from Cardiff until the end of the season. Forde had been penning seven-day emergency deals but will now be available for Cherries' final six games.

Forde has grown in stature since joining Cherries at the start of the month and played his part against Tranmere by pulling off a breathtaking save to keep out Chris Greenacre's second-half header.

Bond said: "He was a bit ring-rusty when he first came but I think he's done well. He fitted in straight away and the lads get on well with him. He's a good lad and I'm pleased to keep him."

Millwall arrive at Dean Court three places and 13 points above seemingly-doomed Cherries. The Lions, beaten 1-0 in the corresponding fixture last season, are six points above the drop zone with six games remaining.

The visitors are likely to include former Cherries loan star Jem Karacan after last week signing the 19-year-old midfielder on a month's loan from Reading. Striker Lewis Grabban sits out with a hamstring injury.

Bond added: "They've brought in a few new players and have plenty of options. It would be difficult for me to try to second-guess their team.

"They had a great win at Swansea earlier this month but haven't been able to dig themselves out of trouble. While they are out of the relegation zone, they are far from being in a comfortable position.

"They will be looking to strengthen their position in the table by trying to beat us but hopefully we can make it an uncomfortable day for them."

Cherries: (from) Forde, Bradbury, Cooper, Pearce, Franks, Gradel, Bartley, Hollands, Tessem, McQuoid, Kuffour, Vokes, Cummings, Gowling, Pitman, Finlay, Partington, Hutchings, Davidson, Pryce.

Millwall: (from) Evans, Senda, Whitbread, Robinson, Bakayogo, Brkovic, Fuseini, Karacan, Smith, Savage, Simpson, Shaw, Cochrane, Martin, Harris, Pidgeley.

Keep playing the youngsters Kevin, the players coming back into contention are not our future or we are going to loose them (Josh and Warren). Pryce deserves some run outs to.

i agree, if theres no chance of us staying up why not give pryce a few gomes to give him the experience he needs and the other youngsters done really well too.

Absolutley agree with the above posters. What on earth is the point of playing Players who we have struggled with and then change a winning Team. It wasnt long ago that Gowling was saying he was tired ect so give him a bloody rest I would also play Pryce now that Forde will not be playing for us next season One thing I would like to see though (but it wont happen) is we try a couple of the other Management Staff at tactics and Team selection eg Joe Roach and even Eddie in the vain hope that they could fill in for the last couple of games as Caretaker Manager while the new Chairman !!! looks for a proper Manager for next Season. But I suppose dreams dont come true
