Here's a round-up of just some of the services taking place across Dorset this Christmas.

A family Christmas service will be held at The Church of St Andrew in Kinson on Christmas Eve, with Midnight Mass beginning at 11pm. The Christmas Day service will be held at 10am.

A Midnight Communion is taking place at Ringwood Parish Church in the Market Place on Christmas Eve from 11am. 

Verwood Methodist Church Holy Communion takes place on Christmas Eve at 11.30pm with a United CTV Service from 10.45am on Christmas Day. 

A Midnight Mass service takes place at St Ambrose Church in Westbourne on Christmas Eve at 11.30pm. Then on Christmas Day there are two services; a said mass at 8am and a sung mass at 10am. 

There is a Christingle Service taking place on Christmas Eve at St Mary’s Church in Ferndown.The service at the church in Church Road starts at 3.30pm. Christingles are made from an orange decorated with red tape, sweets and a candle and are used to celebrate Jesus Christ as the “Light of the World”.

A Holy Communion service is being held at Christchurch Priory at 8am on Christmas Day, followed by a procession sung Eucharist and sermon at 9.30am and choral matins and sermon at 11.30am.

All-Age Worship is being held at Christchurch Baptist Church in Bargates from 10.30am to 11.15am on Christmas Day. Details from christchurchbaptist.org.uk.

Christmas Day services are at Sherborne Abbey. There is Holy Communion at 8am, parish eucharist at 9.30am and Festal Matins at 11.15am. All welcome. 

A Christmas reflections service takes place at Lansdowne Church in Woodbury Avenue at 9am on Christmas day followed by a Christmas celebration service at 10.30am. All welcome. Visit lansdownechurch.uk/christmas

A Christingle service will take place at Highcliffe Methodist Church on Christmas Eve. It will begin at 4pm. The Methodist Church is in Lymington Road.
