Christmas Eve 

Normal Saturday timetables except for Nightbus routes N1 & N2 which will not operate.

Last journeys on the m1 & m2 services will run at:             

  • 12.10am Poole to Southbourne
  • 12.30am Poole to Castlepoint
  • 12.04am Southbourne to Poole
  • 12.15am Castlepoint to Poole

Christmas Day

Special timetables will be operating on the m1 and m2 service between 8am and 8pm. Click to view the timetable. 

  • m1 extended to Bournemouth Hospital
  • m2 extended to Southbourne & Christchurch

The following fares will apply on Christmas Day: 

A single is £4 for adults and £3 for children. A return is £6 for adults and £5 for children. Period passes are valid as normal.

Boxing Day

Sunday timetables will run on the following routes:

m1/m2 (first buses 0600) 4,5/6, 8/9, 13, 14, 16/17, X3 X8 and NEW for 2016 Breezer 40 & 50. No services on other routes.

Sunday timetables will be in operation on bank holiday Tuesday with Saturday timetables running on Wednesday, December 28, Thursday, December 29 and Friday, December 30. 

New Year's Eve and New Year's Day

On New Year's Eve, there will be a Saturday timetable with N1 & N2 nightbuses through to the early hours. 

On New Year's Day, there will be special timetables on routes m1/m2, 5, 8/9, 13, 16/17 and X3. Bank Holiday Monday (January 2) will see a Sunday timetable with servies returning to normal on Tuesday, January 3. 

Yellow Buses 

On Christmas Eve, Yellow Buses will be running a normal Saturday service with an early shut down. Most places will see a last bus between 7pm and 8pm, but you'll need to check as it varies which service you use.  Click to see what time your service stops 

There will be NO services on Christmas Day with a special service on selected routes on Boxing Day

December 27, 28, 29 and 30 will see a Saturday service on all routes.

On New Year's Eve there will be a Saturday service and early shut down once again (click the link above for times. 

On New Year's Day there will be a special service on selected routes. 

On January 2, there will be a Saturday service on all routes with normal Monday to Friday service resuming on January 3. 

South West Trains

On Christmas Eve, a Saturday service will operate with some reductions due to engineering work taking place in the London Waterloo area. The network will start closing down from 7pm.

South West Trains says many late evening trains will be cancelled or won't run to their normal destinations. The network will shut down completely by 11pm and passengers travelling during the evening are advised to make sure their journey will be possible before starting.

There will be NO services at all on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.

On bank holiday Tuesday, a normal Saturday service will operate on most routes.

Then between on December 28, 29 and 30, a Saturday service will operate on most routes, with some altered and extra ‘morning peak’ trains. 

On New Year's Eve, a normal Saturday service will operate.

On New Year's Day, a normal Sunday service will operate on most routes with additional early morning services from London Waterloo between 12.01am and 5.00am. Engineering work will take place between Clapham Junction and London Waterloo. Some services will start from or terminate at stations away from London Waterloo.

On January 2, a revised Saturday service will operate on most routes.

On January 3, normal weekday service will resume. 

Sandbanks Ferry

Christmas Day service is half-hourly from 0800 until 1810 hours. Leaving Sandbanks on the hour and half hour and from Shell Bay at 10 minutes after and 40 minutes after each hour.
