The eighth annual Macmillan White Christmas Dip takes place today from 9.45am.
Hundreds of people are expected to don their swimming gear for the popular event, which raises funds for Christchurch Hospital's Macmillan Unit.
The dip first began in 2008 with just eight participants.
Last year more than 600 people took part, raising around £30,000.
And this year, around 750 swimmers will dash into the sea for the charity.
It is hoped that their efforts will raise around £35,000.
To join in, meet on the beach to the right of Boscombe Pier on Christmas Day.
All ages and abilities are welcome to take part and the minimum donation is £5.
