Santa's back at Paulton's Park for another year, and we were invited to give him and his wonderland the once over. Here are a few of our favourite things...

1. The amazing toy workshop

Bournemouth Echo:

We're not supposed to say much about the Christmas Wonderland itself. But what we will say is there's singing, and snow, and it's a bit like being in a Jim Henson movie, and the toy workshop is the coolest thing your children will have seen this year. Especially the train.

2. The cheeriest elves outside of Lapland

Bournemouth Echo:

It can't be a lot of fun being a Christmas elf, but Paulton's have recruited some of the cheeriest and loveliest you'll meet, with a smile and a word for everyone.

3. Penguins

Bournemouth Echo:

And not even the real ones (who are obviously available for your viewing pleasure). The 4D cinema is showing Happy Feet, and what sort of Christmas would it be without tap dancing penguins and the feel of snow on your face?

4. Most of your youngsters' favourite rides are open and the queues are much smaller

Bournemouth Echo:

We went on the Caterpillar ride TWELVE times.

5. The wave runner is just as much fun in December as it is in July

Bournemouth Echo:

A brilliant antidote to the child-friendly-but-a-bit-too-sedate-for-parents rides in Peppa Pig World, we always make the Waveslider our last ride of the day. Our four year old LOVES it, rain or shine.

6. Peppa and George all dressed up for Christmas

Bournemouth Echo:

It might not be cold, or snowy, but there's no denying the park looks magical as dusk falls.

and finally... The sneak peek at the amazing looking new rollercoasters in the Lost Kingdom

It's the first thing you see when you park - the incredible-looking new tracks for the two rollercoasters opening in the Spring. One is a suspended sky-flyer and the other a "boomerang" rollercoaster - and we can't wait to try them.

Note: Wonderland tickets are all sold out for this year, but you can still get park only tickets.
