Is this the most festive house in Dorset?

Nicky Lane, known as Mrs Christmas to her friends, loves the season so much she fills her house with decorations, a display in every room.

No wonder Nicky, a mother of two daughters, Maddie and Mackenzie, who works as a part-time teaching assistant, is known as Mrs Christmas by her friends.

Bournemouth Echo:

She married her husband Paul in Lapland on Boxing Day. She has a Huskie called Blizzard and three little dogs called Santa, King Wenceslas and Lord Nutmeg.

“I love Christmas. We start listening to Christmas music in the car and at home as soon as Halloween is over,” she says.

Bournemouth Echo:

“We have a cupboard just for Christmas movies. Every weekend coming up to Christmas we watch one. Our favourites are It’s A Wonderful Life, Holiday Inn, White Christmas and Preacher’s Wife.

“All the family is obsessed with The Snowman story. Mackenzie listens to the audio CD every night at bedtime in the run-up to Christmas. We even have a copy in the car – every child should have one!"

Bournemouth Echo:

Nicky's home is a sight to be seen. (Read more about her here) But we want to know if you can do better. Is your house a winter wonderland? Have you garlanded the outside with lights, or the inside with tinsel?

Send a picture - or even better a video tour - of your festive home to digital@bournemouthecho.co.uk and you could win a £40 hamper from Chalbury Food and Wines. Closing date is Wednesday December 17 and the editor will pick a winner on Friday December 19. Usual terms and conditions apply.
