| SPORT AND STYLE: The Toyota Auris SR |
FOLLOWING the launch of the flagship Auris SR180, Toyota is introducing further sporting style to the range with new SR models powered by the 1.6 Dual VVT-i petrol and 2.0 D-4D 130 diesel engines.
The new versions benefit from lowered sports suspension and riding on 17in alloy wheels, both from Toyota Motorsport.
Other features included as standard are a Toyota Motorsport rear spoiler and dark-tinted privacy glass.
They also come equipped with nine airbags, climate control air conditioning, leather-trimmed steering wheel with audio controls, front fog lamps, six-speaker sound system and body colour-matched door handles and mirrors.
The SR is on sale now, in three and five-door body styles, priced from £14,495.
At the same time, automatic dual zone air conditioning has been added to the Auris TR, which has had a mild make-over.
The new look includes a set of five-spoke 16in alloy wheels, distinctive blue interior seat trim and chrome rear trim detailing. Like the new SR, the specification also includes nine airbags, front fog lamps, leather-trimmed steering wheel with audio controls, six-speaker sound system and body colour-matched door handles and mirrors.
The TR models cost £310 less than equivalent T3 models. It is available now with 1.4 and 1.6 VVT-i petrol and 2.0 D-4D 130 diesel engines.
Optional MultiMode transmission is available with the 1.6 unit.
