The Dorset Echo publication What A Classic came up trumps with two awards at the prestigious 2008 Newsquest Advertising Awards ceremony.
Competing with hundreds of other entries, the full-colour, glossy 68-page booklet won trophies for Best Motors Initiative and Best Niche Publication, Non-Newsprint, over rival Newsquest titles across the country.
The idea was developed and sold by Echo motoring executive David Payne and was compiled and produced by motoring editor Steve Belasco.
It will also form the basis of a new project which will take shape later this year.
A key speaker from the Newspaper Society, commenting on this excellent win for the Dorset Echo, remarked that it was a clear winner, standing head and shoulders above other entries'.
