Meet the new Mercedes

Mercedes-Benz of Poole will unveil 30 new models or engines this year.

The first of these will be on Thursday, January 21 when the latest-generation E-Class estate will be introduced to customers.

They will then be able to test drive the model at a ride and drive weekend being hosted at the Holes Bay dealership two days later.

Those interested are urged to book in advance.

The new model is capable of carrying up to 1,950 litres and has standard features including rear air suspension with self-levelling and quick-fold rear seats, which can be adjusted to accommodate varying loads.

Owners can choose from a trio of different models, three diesel and four petrol engines, ranging between four and six cylinder and featuring groundbreaking Blue Efficiency technology delivering economy and low emissions.

“Over the course of this year Mercedes-Benz is introducing new models to the range and upgrading engines,” said Michelle East, group marketing and customer relationship manager at Mercedes-Benz of Poole.

“There will be engine changes and model launches.

“The product keeps evolving – keeping up with new technology.

“People are looking for more cost efficient and greener cars to keep up with their lifestyles.

“We have the new Blue Efficiency models with lower carbon dioxide emissions and better fuel efficiency.

“These petrol and diesel engines are being introduced across the range,” added Michelle, who has worked at the dealership for six years.

Blue Efficiency engines were first introdeuced in the C-Class range on its C180 Kompressor, C350 CGI and C200 CDI models.

With this technology the C200 CDI delivers more than 55 mpg while emitting just 135g/km of carbon dioxide, better than many smaller cars.

Mercedes-Benz of Poole operates three sites at Poole, Salisbury and Dorchester and employs 200 staff.
