ALL large local employers have now been required to reveal the difference in their average pay for men and women.

The figures below show the gap in average median hourly pay – the mid-point in an employer's range of wages.

They do not mean men and women are being paid differently for similar work.

As well as these figures and a mean, or mathematical average, companies have to reveal the gap in bonus payments. They must also publish the figures on their own websites, along with a statement about the issue.

The data can also be found on the government's gender pay gap site.

The list below shows how median average pay differs for women at local employers. It also contains some employers from out of the area who have large numbers of staff locally.
