OUT of work? Leaving education? Or looking to change your job for something new, more interesting or more flexible?

There are plenty of reasons for considering a new role or training – and the Daily Echo Job Fair is the perfect way to explore your options.

The next in our long-running series of job fairs takes place today from 10.30am-4pm at the Premier Inn, Westover Road in Bournemouth.

Similar job fairs have helped thousands of people find a job or training over the years.

They are the ideal opportunity for job-hunters to meet dozens of potential employers and training organisations under one roof. You’ll have a chance to chat to people informally, face to face, about the kind of people they are looking for and what they can offer in return.

It’s the ideal way to come across options you might not have considered before, and to get a feel for the kind of employer you’re dealing with.

To take full advantage, it’s good to come armed with plenty of copies of your CV, ready to hand to anyone you might meet.

This year’s event is sponsored by Health-on-line, one of the area’s biggest and fastest-growing employers. The health insurance company has four floors of offices in Holdenhurst Road, Bournemouth.

It is seeking sales consultants, who will benefit from in-house training and a welcoming family culture. More details are at health-on-line.co.uk/careers

Health-on-line are among a wide range of exhibitors at the event.

And all job-hunters will be able to take advantage of free advice from Best Training. The sessions will cover such skills as CV-writing and interview technique. Whether you’re experienced at job-hunting or are in the labour market for the first time, the tips are sure to be valuable.

Angela Boyer, sales and events manager at the Daily Echo, said: “The employers and training providers present are always really welcoming to job seekers – whether you want to fly plans with the RAF or talk to Health-on-line about their sales consultant roles, there is hopefully something for everyone.

“You can hand a copy of your CV straight to the employer at the event, and talk about how your skills and experience can meet their needs. There is also an opportunity to benefit from the free careers advice and training provided by Best Training who will be running workshops at the fair. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you on the day.”

There are a few places remaining for employers who want to have stands at the job fair. For more details, ring Angela Boyer, sales and events manager at the Daily Echo, on 01202 411221 or email angela.boyer@bournemouthecho.co.uk
