A FILM company has been chosen to go on a trade mission to Singapore.

Compass Video, which uses video and animation to tell stories for businesses, will meet some of the world’s leading tech companies and receive advice from the likes of KPMG and HSBC.

It won a competition in which it had to say what made it better than the rest on the 123reg Facebook page.

The company, which was only established last July, has also been helping small businesses learn to use their smartphones to create content when the budget isn’t available for a full production.

James Chetwode, one of the company founders, said: “We are very excited about this opportunity. As a very young business, it is rare to be able to network across the globe.

“Budget would never allow us to do this on our own. So we would like to thank Emma Jones and her team at Enterprise Nation and 123reg. We can’t wait to fly and see if we can catch our dreams.”

Singapore is ranked by the World Bank as the easiest place in the world to start, run and do business.

The Go Global Trade mission is run by Enterprise Nation, which helps start-ups and growing businesses. The company will travel with 25 other UK brands to Singapore for tours, talks and networking events.

Compass Video was founded by Keith Seward and James Chetwode and is based near Sturminster Newton.

It helps businesses achieve their goals showing how their product or service has transformed the clients lives or businesses.
