MEXICAN-inspired eatery Taco Bell will open a restaurant in Poole High Street next month.

The new restaurant, located in the former London Menswear site, is due to open its doors from 10am on Wednesday, May 10.

It will serve Mexican-style food on the premises and offer a takeaway service.

The 44-seat restaurant will launch with the ‘Cheesy Double Melt Burrito’ - a new restaurant exclusive, alongside its already-popular menu of tacos, burritos, crunch wraps, loaded fries, Quesadillas and nachos.

On opening day, the first 100 customers will receive a free Taco Bell t-shirt exclusive to Poole. There will also be a chance to win a year’s supply of Taco Bell, simply by finding one of two Golden Tacos hidden across the town centre. Clues will be revealed on the Taco Bell UK social media channels.

The restaurant will bring an additional 20 jobs to the area and customers will have the option to buy beer with their food.

Free WiFi and charging stations for portable devices will also be available.

Ellen Gault, marketing manager for Taco Bell UK and Europe, said: “Since the launch of Taco Bell in Southampton, we’ve noticed a real hunger for quick Mexican-inspired food in the South of England and are really pleased to be opening our second restaurant in Poole.

“There is such a strong demand for Taco Bell across the UK, so it’s a great feeling to be able to open in new locations like Poole.”
