THE Daily Echo is changing the way it does business.

Later this month, we’ll be giving the dedicated business pages a boost, placing it nearer the front of the printed paper and introducing several new regular features.

That will mean more focus on new enterprises and on the digital and creative sector in particular. And it will only work if we hear from people who are doing great things in the working world.

We’re aiming to reflect the businesses that are starting and thriving in Dorset and the New Forest.

That doesn’t mean being unquestioningly positive about everything we report – but it does mean that we’ll be looking at the opportunities and ideas that are appearing amidst all the uncertainty about Brexit, exchange rates etc.

We’ll beginning each week with a slot called Monday Start-Up, focusing on some of the most interesting new businesses in our patch.

The Wednesday Boss will highlight the thoughts of key business leaders, whether about their own company or on the issues of the day.

And Friday Digital will highlight the news from the digital and creative world. From app developers to marketing agencies, these will be the stories of people driving the fastest-growing digital economy in the country.

We’ll still do all the things we currently do. That includes two pages of business on Tuesday (if you’re handing over 68p for the printed edition – in which case thank you, by the way).

The Tuesday coverage will often include a longer read about the personalities behind local enterprises or the issues affecting business, as it does already.

So, if you have a story that we should be telling, or a compelling view about your industry that should be heard, please get in touch.
