JOBS could be at risk at Clarks shoes after the company announced a review of its stores at Poole's Dolphin Shopping Centre and Castlepoint in Bournemouth.

The Echo understands only one person has taken voluntary redundancy as part of the review so far, but it remains unclear if any more staff will be affected.

A statement released on behalf of Clarks said: "We are reviewing how we can improve the way we work in our Poole and Castlepoint stores to ensure the best possible experience for consumers.

"This review includes re-allocating work hours to meet the needs of these stores.

"It is too early to confirm how many employees might be affected, but we have a strong duty of care to our employees and will support and consult with them during this review."

The two stores combined employ around 70 people.
