SOUTH Coast accountancy firm Inspire Professional Services has scooped a top place in the Accountancy Age Best Employer Award – confirming it as one of the UK’s best places to work.

Now in its sixth year The 2016 Accountancy Age Best Employer Survey works in partnership with Best Companies Group and sets out to recognise the best firms to work for in the UK. Employer and employee surveys were completed with the firms being judged on their working environment, training, remuneration and employee benefits packages.

Kevin Reed, head of editorial at Accountancy Age, said: “This survey and recognition programme is dedicated to finding and rewarding the best employers from the accounting profession in the UK, our process is robust and rigorous, so the top firms this year should be very proud that their employees think so highly of their workplace – and meet our benchmark.”

Competing in this high profile industry award, Inspire has won its top 10 place after employees were surveyed and anonymously gave positive feedback on their working conditions, the firms culture and improvements to the rewards and recognition offered. As just one example the firm gives every employee their birthday off work.

Founder and Managing Director of Inspire, Warren Munson said: “We are dedicated to nurturing and developing our staff and have several schemes in place; such as the Inspire Business Academy that is designed to raise our staff’s commercial awareness and our rewards and recognition scheme that further demonstrates our commitment to celebrating achievements. Amongst other perks, we offer a day off for our team to get involved and work in the community.”

Warren added: “This is certainly another high in the Inspire journey and as founder of the business I am really proud of the Inspire team and the positive and happy culture that we have created.”

The top scoring firm and overall winner of this award will be revealed later this year on the 29th November at the British Accountancy Awards held at The Brewery, London.
