A DOUBLE-decker bus will be in Bournemouth Square on Wednesday to inspire people thinking of starting their own business.

The national summer tour by the enterprise campaign StartUp Britain was launched recently at Buckingham Palace by the Duke of York.

The campaign says 1,239 businesses were formed in Bournemouth in the first six months of this year – compared with 1,919 in the whole of 2015.

A 1966 Routemaster bus will be in Bournemouth Square from 10am-4.30pm as part of a tour taking in 30 towns and cities in six weeks, sponsored by 123 Reg and .uk Visitors will be able to get inspiration and support from local entrepreneurs; speak to a professional mentor from WSX Enterprise, Outset Bournemouth or GetSet for Growth; get finance advice from NatWest; take the 123 Reg digital skills survey; and receive a free .uk domain and £100 discount on the 123 Reg Website Builder.

The bus’s visit to Bournemouth is supported by Dorset Growth Hub, Outset Bournemouth, WSX Enterprise, GetSet for Growth, Silicon South, Silicon Beach, the Venus Awards, Think Create Do and Box 44 Co-Working space.
