HOLIDAY group Hoburne is investing more than £2million in its parks in Dorset and Hampshire.

The investment is part of a £6m investment which will see enhancements to all seven of Hoburne’s holiday parks in the south west.

The Christchurch-headquartered company says the developments will ensure a better customer experience when the parks open for the 2016 holiday season.

Hoburne Naish in New Milton and Hoburne Bashley will each have £1m spent on creating a new-look entertainment and leisure complex. There will also be new family-friendly dining venues, including Cafe H and a restaurant offering full table service. There will be improved communal areas and free Wi-Fi.

Hoburne park will have 24 new holiday caravans, most of them the top-of-the-range Platinum Plus or Platinum. Hoburne Bahsley will have a new pitch development with lodge accommodation for the first time.

Rod Tucker, managing director of Hoburne, said: “At our Dorset and Hampshire parks in 2016, our customers will get the same Hoburne experience that they know and love, yet we are literally transforming some of the parks’ communal areas, accommodation offer and facilities to create an even better environment for a perfect family holiday.”

He added: “The huge investment that we are currently making is testament to our commitment to setting new standards across the industry and to our goal of exceeding our customer’s expectations.

“We have engaged professional interior designers to create stylish interior schemes incorporating relaxing colours and natural materials, as well as comfortable seating options and attractive design-led communal spaces which we are confident that our customers will love.”

Hoburne was established locally in 1912. More than 100,000 holiday-makers stayed with it in 2015 and more than 2,000 private owners have a holiday home at a Hoburne park.

Hoburne Holiday Parks celebrated its centenary in 2012. The current chairman’s great-grandfather bought the first plot of land at auction on May 7, 1912.
