UNIQUE retailers in Dorset are being urged to enter the Dorset Business Awards.

The Dolphin Centre is calling on retailers who have revitalised the shopping experience to enter the awards, which are held in association with the Daily Echo and Dorset Echo.

Now in its fourth year, the Retail Experience Award will acknowledge a thriving Dorset business that offers the very best retail experience to its customers.

The award celebrates success, and highlights clear entrepreneurial spirit, business acumen and excellence in customer service.

Past award winner, Jason Allum, of Allum & Sidaway, said: “Winning a prestigious award at the Dorset Business Awards is an honour.

"To be acknowledged at such an event, and amongst the best within our industry, is something the Allum & Sidaway team will never forget.”

He added: “I would highly recommend anyone thinking of entering these awards to do so, it not only gives your company credibility but also your staff great belief in themselves and the company they work for.”

John Grinnell, award sponsor and centre manager of the Dolphin Shopping Centre, said: “This year’s award will look to bestow recognition upon a Dorset retailer that is truly unique in its offering to customers, showcasing extraordinary and outstanding achievement.

“Behind every successful, thriving company, is a team of professionals that revitalise the customer shopping experience, which is key to both the profits and longevity of the business. Our award honours a business that sees the value in putting the customer at the heart of the retail experience.”

To be in with a chance of winning, companies will need to explain how service levels are monitored, how customer service is monitored, what training they give staff and why the store deserves to win the Retail Experience Award.
