MORE than 200 people enjoyed a men’s fashion show.

A Gentleman's Affair, at 1812 Bournemouth, was devised by John Parrett of Fox Tailoring to preview the company’s business, formal, casual and summer lines, including tweet and shirts and suits in whites, greys and warm wine colours.

Fox Tailoring offers a bespoke tailoring service as well as shirts, ties, cufflinks and accessories.

Eighteen models, including AFC Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn, took to the catwalk. The room was decorate by award-winning event decorators Balloon a Room and guests were treated to canapés from 1812 and whisky tasting from Haig Club.

The show’s grand finale featured a wedding scene in which one lucky lady was wooed by six suitors. The night finished with live music from Chris Manning and a raffle in aid of children’s hospice Julia’s House.

Mr Parrett said: “This was our first fashion event but I’m sure it won’t be the last. All our models are real-life customers – we cater to all shapes and sizes and I’m so proud to see how tailoring can transform people, giving them confidence.

“Everyone needs a sharp suit – it doesn’t matter if you are a 20-something footballer or a 60-something entrepreneur. Clothes really do make the man.”
