LUXURY boat-builder Sunseeker International has announced the appointment of a new chief executive.
Phil Popham will join the Poole-based company in January from Jaguar Land Rover, where he has worked for 25 years, most recently as group marketing director.
The company, which employs around 2,500 people in the town, announced last month that 300 staff were set to be made redundant by Christmas as it sought to streamline ‘non-core’ activities and invest in bringing new models to market more quickly.
The company had been without a chief executive since Stewart McIntyre announced stood down in July. Founder Robert Braithwaite became acting president.
