THE next Daily Echo Jobsfair takes place next week offering the chance for employers to meet hundreds of potential recruits.

The twice-yearly event, which is a must for job-hunters and recruiters alike, is on Thursday October 2, 10.30am-5pm, at the Premier Inn on Bournemouth’s Westover Road.

Major employers including the Westover Group, Yellow Buses, LV=, Nationwide and BCHA are among the dozens of businesses, public sector organisations and charities already signed up to attend.

And other companies including Costa Coffee, More Buses and Home Instead have also been added to the growing list.

The event attracts first time job-hunters and career-changers alike.

It is being sponsored by Health-on-Line, which was named Britain’s best online healthcare provider at the Your Money Awards earlier this year.

The Bournemouth-based company is one of the fastest-growing private medical insurance companies in the UK. Part of AXA PPP healthcare since 2012, it employs more than 350 people and is still expanding.

Angela Boyer, classified manager with the Daily Echo, said: “The Daily Echo Jobsfair is now an established twice yearly event which is extremely popular with recruiters, trainers and jobseekers alike. The fact that a major local employer, Health-on-Line, is supporting the event again as sponsors demonstrates how respected and valued the jobsfair is in the local area.

“For those looking to recruit new staff it’s an ideal opportunity to meet potential employees face to face, talk about their skills and experience and even arrange interviews. For job seekers, on average 35 recruiters and training providers attend on the day, and it’s a really relaxed and positive opportunity for you to seek new employment, advance your career or enquire about training opportunities.

“There is also the chance to attend workshops run by Best Training such as CV writing or interview skills.”
