BUS operator morebus is claiming that its routes are the most picturesque in the country.

The Purbeck Breezer service offers two routes following Dorset’s dramatic Jurassic coastline and spectacular countryside between Swanage, Poole and Bournemouth.

Morebus communications manager, Nikki Honer, right, said: “We are very lucky here in Dorset to have an incredible mix of coastal and scenic rural areas.

“Our Purbeck Breezer routes pass by white chalk cliffs, heathlands that stretch to the horizon, picturesque villages, a romantic hilltop castle and charming seaside resorts – all in one journey. I don’t think anywhere else can offer that.

“And this is not an official tour bus – it is a service that our passengers can use on a regular basis throughout the year. It is particularly popular amongst, locals and holiday makers, young and old, concessionary customers can use their passes to take a wonderfully relaxing trip across the county.

“Other customers too are taking the opportunity to view everything Dorset has to offer – just by jumping onto one of our Purbeck Breezer buses.”

The Breezer 40 – travelling from Swanage through Wareham to Poole – takes a route past the Swanage Steam Railway, Corfe Castle and Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park.

While the Breezer 50 open top route – from Swanage via Studland and Sandbanks to Bournemouth – takes in the coast, including a crossing on the Sandbanks Ferry over to one of the world’s most exclusive residential resorts.

“I think other bus operators in Britain will find it very hard to beat us on this one,” added Nikki.

“We know there are some worthy challengers, so we’re open to suggestions – but I urge anyone looking for incredible views and a wonderful day out to take the Purbeck Breezer at any time of the year. We’ve made a short animated film to encourage more people to take the scenic tour.”
