THE Bournemouth Coastal Business Improvement District (BID) has appointed Anna Chamberlain to a new role supporting its 760 businesses.

Anna, who was previously co-owner of the award-winning Living Room in Westbourne, will be making sure businesses are fully aware of the opportunities the BID offers.

Alun Williams, BID manager, said: “We know that people are very focussed on the day to day running of their businesses. We felt we needed to offer another level of support, on a personal, one-to-one basis at a time and place convenient to individual BID businesses, rather than rely on fortnightly emails and quarterly newsletters. “Anna has joined us to fulfil this new role and develop new ways of communicating with and ensuring that BID businesses maximise the opportunities which the BID provides.”

Anna said: “Having run my own business I know how easy it is to miss valuable leads which can bring in more business. I am passionate about the BID. I have met many of the businesses over the last year, when I have helped out with individual promotions. “I am now looking forward to working with BID levy payers and helping them take advantage of the many activities with which the BID is involved.”
