To recognise those individuals who go the extra mile in delivering excellent results for their firms, organisers of the Dorset Business Awards in association with the Daily Echo and Dorset Echo have introduced the Employee of the Year Award, sponsored by Hays, the leading recruiting expert, to the 2013 award listing.

New for this year, the Hays Employee of the Year Award has been established to recognise the hard work and professionalism of a member of staff who has exceeded expectations and made a real contribution to the success of a business. The company will need to enter the Award on behalf of the employee and the nominee will have had at least two years’ experience in the business.

Samantha Paterson-Crofts at Hays in Dorset says: “Hays is proud to be launching an Employee of the Year Award at the 2013 Dorset Business Awards. At Hays, we believe the right job can transform a person's life and the right person can transform a business. There is no company that can fulfil its objectives without the right employees and leaders.

“This award category offers a unique opportunity to recognise the hard work and professionalism of a member of staff who has exceeded expectations and made a real contribution to the success of the business they are working for.”

The Awards are also backed by the South’s leading radio station Wave 105 and are free to enter. Entrants can submit an entry via www.dorsetbusinessawards.co.uk or print off an entry form and submit a paper-based entry. The closing date for entry is Tuesday September 10.

Entrants do not need to be a member of Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry. For further information about the Awards, sponsorship opportunities or to reserve tickets for the Gala Dinner which will take place at the Lighthouse, Poole, on Thursday November 28 please contact Shirley Ewart on 01202 714812.
