Happy Days Are Here Again
CARL GRIFFITHS won't be moving from Leyton Orient, if he gest his way. "I'm really happy here," he said, after his double strike on Saturday against Rochdale.
"I am going to seen the gaffer about an extension to my contract because life is being good to me at the moment. I just need to know that he wants me here and get some security. I need to know that I am staying for longer than at present."
Griffiths has shaken off his differences with manager Tommy Taylor since returning from his loan spell at Wrexham. He has scored four times in his last five games for the O's, the exact same tally he achieved at the Racecourse Ground during his month's loan.
"I know offers have been flooding in for me, but if possible, I would like to stay. I am no longer interested in moving from Leyton Orient. It's where I want to play my football.
"Even if disaster strikes and we don't win promotion to division two, I still want to stay. I am settled here, and so is my family. Uprooting is not really an option for me at present."
That is great news for the O's fans, who have cheered 'Super Carl' through thick and thin.
"They've been magnificent," Griffiths added. "They are another good reason to stay. They are brilliant."
