CANNING BETSY ANNE 1927~2008 It is with sad hearts that Anne's children Audrey, Wendy, Chris and Tony announce the death of their Mum on Tuesday 30th September. She had a great way with young children and was heavily involved with working with them after setting up many pre school nurseries during her very full life. She later worked in children's homes after her talents were spotted by the local education authority. Mum could often be found absailing down a cliff face, sailing or on some outward bound course well into her late 50,s !. It is without doubt that many of us owe a great deal to her pre school work and the positive impact that those days have had on our future lives. She will be sadly missed.
