BEARD EDNA Died peacefully, following a short illness at home in Christchurch, aged 102 years. She was born in Stroud in 1906, and during the war years, worked with the Gas Company in Christchurch. Her great enjoyment was found in nature, her beloved Dorset countryside, visits to her niece and family in Canada, her garden and her cats. Her amazing memory, sense of humour and quick wit were with her until the end, thanks to good friends, neighbours and carers she was able to remain independent in her own home until she died. Service at Bournemouth Crematorium on Friday 19th September at 12.00 noon. No flowers by request, please. If desired, donations for and made payable to the R.S.P.C.A., may be sent to
