BOSS Eddie Howe says he ‘won’t lose sleep’ if Cherries do not recruit new players in the January transfer window.

Cherries have been linked with a move for Birmingham’s Demarai Gray and are understood to have had three bids for the winger rejected.

Howe, who never comments publicly on specific targets, admitted “one or two players” were on his radar but backed his current playing staff to deliver.

The boss said: “In terms of incomings, there is no news. We’re not closer to signing anybody. We are looking at one or two players but that’s as far as it’s gone.

“It’s a very difficult window to recruit in and transfer fees could potentially be inflated.

“We’ve been linked with a host of players. All I’d say to the Bournemouth fans is, don’t always believe what you read. We will do our business in private.

“If we don’t add to the squad, we won’t be losing any sleep over that. It’s a very competitive squad with almost two players for every position. We’re more than happy to go with what we’ve got.”
