BOURNEMOUTH’S Geva Mentor and England face an early start tomorrow morning as they aim to take the next step towards the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games netball tournament.
Melbourne Vixens goal keeper Mentor will hope to impose her potentially significant influence when Anna Mayes’ side take on Trinidad & Tobago in their penultimate Group B fixture (9.30am).
England got off to a flying start on Friday with a 65-23 trouncing of Wales at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre Precinct.
An agonising 49-48 defeat to fierce rivals Australia followed on Saturday, but Mentor & Co bounced back with a well-earned 41-35 success over South Africa 24 hours later.
England are due to complete their group campaign against minnows Barbados on Wednesday (7pm).
The top two from each of the two groups go head-to-head in the semi-finals, with the remaining teams playing off to decide finishing positions.
