BROKEN finger victim Guy Layman will miss Lymington’s Southern Premier League clash with third-placed South Wilts tomorrow (11.30am).

Layman suffered the injury when fielding at mid-wicket in the defeat to St Cross Symondians six days ago.

Also absent are Ben Rogers and Matt Metcalfe, who are on holiday, so Damien Edwards, Josh Goodchild and Paul McCann come in.

Skipper Simon Beetham said: “I think Guy said it would be a month out but I’m not too sure as I’ve never had that injury before.

“He would have given us another bowling option and we’re also going to miss Matt and one of our top-six batters in Ben.

“Hopefully we’ve got enough depth in our team to cope. South Wilts are always up at the top and we will have to see what they bring to Lymington.”

Lymington: Mortimer, Hand, C Grierson, Scott, Edwards, Cowley, Beetham, Ellis, Goodchild, McCann, Freeman.

Elsewhere, Bashley will be hoping to preserve their 100-per-cent winning record when they take on Ventnor at the BCG (11.30am).

Nick Baker has been recalled at the expense of Callum Maher, who was due to feature at Burridge last week only for the fixture to be cancelled.

Bashley: Morris, Thurgood, Porter, Baker, Morgan, Friedman, Ridley, Nash, Neal, Thomson, R Grierson.
