RINGWOOD’S James Hillier was this afternoon forced to settle for second spot as he missed out on defending his Lightweight TT crown on the Isle of Man.
The Quattro Plant Muc-Off Kawasaki rider was 14.6 seconds behind champion Dean Harrison (57:49.129) after three laps of racing in perfect conditions.
It was the third successive year that Hillier had made it on to the podium in that class.
In the six-lap Senior TT, the Dorset ace finished fifth (1:46:22.262), some 49 seconds behind winner Michael Dunlop (1:45.33.291).
