Eddie Howe's men will also travel to Portsmouth, Salisbury City and Dorchester Town as part of their warm-up for the 2014-15 campaign in addition to their overseas fixture against FC Copenhagen.

The club anticipates making an announcement over two more first-team friendlies in the near future with ticket details set to be released in due course.

Meanwhile, Stephen Purches will take Cherries’ development squad to Hamworthy Recreation, Poole Town and AFC Totton as part of their preparations for the new season.

CONFIRMED FIRST-TEAM FRIENDLIES: Fri July 11, FC Copenhagen (Vulkanlandarena) (7pm, local time), Tues July 15, Salisbury City (A) (7.45pm), Sat July 19, Dorchester Town (A) (3pm), Tues July 29, Portsmouth (A) (7.45pm), Fri Aug 1, Swansea City (H) (7.30pm).

CONFIRMED DEVELOPMENT SQUAD FRIENDLIES: Thurs July 10, Hamworthy Recreation (A) (7pm), Mon July 14, Poole Town (A) (7.45pm), Weds July 30, AFC Totton (A) (7.45pm).

Not exactly spoiling us this pre season only Home friendly against Swansea City off down Hamworthy Rec for me see how the reserves look on a brighter note thought young Ryan Fraser played well last night best player on the pitch well except for the 11 Dutch players who were fantastic

The Rangers game is not happening now.

This was at the " Authorities" request !

Basically the police and local do gooders did not want it to happen.

SHAME, THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT DAY FOR THE CLUB TO FORGE A RELATIONSHIP WITH A SCOTTISH INSTITUTION.

Sorry about the caps.

Authoritries request you say . It's more than likely the Bournemouth
'blue rinse brigade' more like.

Much rather see Hamworthy Rec, Dorch etc than Swansea or Pompey personally, although I appreciate the need to play all different levels of ability for preparation.

I look forward to returning to the Hamworthy social club for a pint on the hill watching our lads.

We must be planning more home games, maybe just waiting for a 'big one' to confirm availability. Mind you how many of the big prem teams will be tied up on tours to the Far East or the like meaning we only see reserves and youth?
Any big foreign teams planning a summer weekend on Bournemouth beach this season, I wonder?

Thanks for the info Coops, what a disappointmment!!!

I was really looking forward to this one and as you say a fantastic opportunity to forge links with one of the great Scottish clubs. The rest of the friendlies look lame in comparison Pompey away etc (yawn - are these the blue-rinsers Sminto? ;-}), what about some decent opposition!

I'm guessing the d1ck that gave you a -1 is one of the do-gooder brigade, we'll struggle to be anything with people like that around!

It comes to something when the Captain deserts the ship before the rats!

I personally think Poxy is a bit up himself and hope the Saints finish above Spurs next season, that would be a turn up!

ATB to them after they've sold Lallana of course - KERRRRCHING!!!!!!!!!
!!

....and they can keep their pony-stealing hands off of our Eddie too!!!

grabban missed his chance, maybe his greedy agent was too demanding. I am not too bothered on grabs because 3 million is a fair amount for him considering we only paid 300k for him. I would like to have grabban next year because he is the hardest working player and has all the attributes good strikers need.
The big one is the lallana deal and it looks more likely now that saints are in free fall

The only attribute Lewis lacks is heading, apart from that totally agree.

Yeah think we have moved on from Grabban now with Le Fondre, Macheda and Guerra all signed for around one million in total which presents better value than three million for Lewis. Solksjaer likely to play a 2-0-8 formation I suspect with Kenwyne Jones, Nicky Maynard, Joe Mason and Fraiser Campbell all on our books too. Fancy doing swaps with a couple of midfielders.
