CHERRIES have announced they will play a pre-season friendly at home to Premier League Swansea City eight days before their Championship curtain-raiser.
The Swans will travel to Dean Court on Friday, August 1 (7.30pm), 10 days after the Welsh club return from a tour of the United States.
Eddie Howe's men will also travel to Portsmouth, Salisbury City and Dorchester Town as part of their warm-up for the 2014-15 campaign in addition to their overseas fixture against FC Copenhagen.
The club anticipates making an announcement over two more first-team friendlies in the near future with ticket details set to be released in due course.
Meanwhile, Stephen Purches will take Cherries’ development squad to Hamworthy Recreation, Poole Town and AFC Totton as part of their preparations for the new season.
