BOURNEMOUTH are sweating on the fitness of opening bowler Shambeel Chaudhry ahead of their trip to Division One rivals Hursley Park on Saturday.

Chaudhry sustained a knee injury during the Lions’ two-wicket defeat at Liphook & Ripsley five days ago which forced him out of their attack in his ninth over.

And he is expected to undergo a late fitness test before Martin Miller’s men face Hursley at their picturesque Hampshire headquarters (1pm).

Bournemouth have named a provisional 12-man squad for the clash, although Mike Kitson, Jake Hurley and Pete Smith are still unavailable.

Bournemouth: (from) Miller, Bridgen, Hayward, Schmulian, Matthews, Kidner, Russell, G Singh, Cronje, Wainwright, Chaudhry, A Singh.

  • Kieran Moors and Paul McCann have been called up by Lymington for their trip to Premier Division rivals Ventnor, with Guy Layman and Ben Rogers unavailable.

Lymington: Beetham, Mortimer, Hand, C Grierson, Scott, Cowley, Metcalfe, Ellis, Moors, McCann, Freeman.

  • Former Dorset man Ben Lawes is set to make his SPL debut for New Milton in their Division One clash with Sarisbury Athletic at Fernhill (1pm).

Lawes, who replaces Toby Edwards, missed Milton’s eight-wicket thrashing of Hursley Park five days ago but did feature in their ECB Club Championship win over Sarisbury on Sunday.

New Milton: R Beck, House, J Park, N Park, Lawes, L Beck, Loader, Elliott, Gargaro, G Watts, Staniford.
