TOM Killick insists a quick scan of the Southern League standings will provide all the motivation Poole Town need at Redditch United on Saturday (3pm).

The Dolphins manager played down the significance of a trip to the Valley Stadium a week after being deducted the three points they earned against the Reds in December.

Poole lost their maximum haul after fielding suspended defender Sam Clarke in the Tatnam clash, but the sanction could not be further from Killick’s mind.

He said: “Redditch didn’t instigate what happened. It was our error so the opposition was irrelevant in many ways.

“The league table has been adjusted and we just have to try and make up ground on the top five now.

"Our past few results have not been particularly helpful so the league table is our constant motivation.”

Richard Gillespie (injured) and Luke Burbidge (unavailable) miss Poole’s excursion to the Midlands.
