BOSS Steve Cuss is confident that Wimborne Town can overcome a lack of recent game-time as they prepare to finally return to action.
The Magpies have not played a competitive match since December 28 after suffering four consecutive weather-enforced postponements this month.
Cuss’s men are set to get back on the pitch when they travel to Southern League rivals Tiverton Town tomorrow night (7.30pm), with the hosts 10 points clear of Wimborne in the Division One South & West play-off zone.
“That (lack of recent game-time) is a slight concern,” admitted Magpies manager Cuss.
“But our players have been looking after themselves, they are fit and desperately want to play.”
James Stokoe is suspended but Jamie Davidson has returned to fitness.
- In the Southern Premier, Poole Town will be aiming to force their way back into the play-off places when they visit fellow contenders Arlesey Town (7.45pm).
The Dolphins are two points adrift of the top five but Tom Killick’s men have between four and seven games in hand on the teams above them.
Elsewhere, bottom club Bashley host Stourbridge.
- In the Wessex League Premier Division, Bournemouth Poppies host Verwood Town, while Hamworthy United entertain Romsey Town (both 7.45pm).
