CATS, dogs and guinea pigs are all in need of forever homes in Dorset.

Margaret Green Animal Rescue is hoping to find new families for the pets in its care this week.

Missie is a ten-year-old cat who is fairly independent but very affectionate once she bonds with someone. Although it takes her a while to trust someone, once she does she is a very loving companion, staff say.

James, who is also 10, is described as a very active, outgoing cat who loves being fussed in small doses. He is looking for his forever home to be in a rural location and would be happiest living without any other pets in the house.

Guinea pig Bubble, aged one, is looking for a new home with companion Squeak, aged two. The pair can be skittish, like all guinea pigs, but should settle down and start interacting more soon.

Bill is a three-year-old greyhound who is described by Margaret Green’s staff as a very stunning, large boy who enjoys nothing more than playtime and running around with his fellow sight hounds.

Rusty is an adorable 11-year-old Jack Russell terrier who loves being around his human companions and is very affectionate.

Despite his age, he still enjoys going for walks and exploring new places.

Finally, Mojo, a three-year-old ex-racing greyhound, is looking for a family who have lots of time to give. He is a happy-go-lucky pooch who enjoys the company of people, as well as running around with his fellow sight hound friends.
