HUNDREDS of young Cherries fans got the chance to watch how their football heroes prepare for Premier League matches at Vitality Stadium.

Members of Junior Cherries, as well as youngsters supported by Julia’s House, Diverse Abilities, and Mosaic, watched Eddie Howe’s team undertake an end-of-session match on the pitch.

Afterwards, the first team squad signed autographs and posed for photographs with the young football fans.

Brothers Arthur Grice, 5, and Felix, 8, said they had “a lot of fun” watching the team play and meeting their favourite players.

“My favourite is Wilshere this season, but usually it’s Artur Boruc because his name is like mine,” Arthur said.

Erin Wells, 9, added it was the “best day of her half term week”.

AFC Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn thanked all those who attended the event and the staff who helped ensure it was a “huge success”, adding: “To see our youngest supporters rub shoulders with the players was a joy to watch and, once again, demonstrates just how much our community means to this football club.”
