A MAN has been taken to hospital after suffering a head injury following an assault in Winton.
Police were called to Stanfield Road around 3.30am this morning after reports of an assault.
Officers and paramedics from South Western ambulance Service attended the scene.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said: "A 30-year-old Bournemouth man was located and was taken to hospital for treatment as he had sustained a head injury.
"Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time."
Stanfield Road was closed at the junction with Withermoor Road and Firs Glen Road in Bournemouth while officers’ carried out their investigation.
And the road remained closed for most of the morning.
