HUNDREDS of people turned out to enjoy some arts and crafts at Mudeford today.

The two-day Mudeford Arts Festival, held at the idyllic Quayside, has been basked in sunshine as visitors enjoyed the food and a spot of culture.

Among the numerous stalls were independent traders selling handmade goods, including wicker crafts, wind chimes made from seashells, and brightly-coloured artwork.

There were also a vast range of food stalls selling gourmet burgers, crepes, ice cream and hot dogs.

Younger children had the chance to climb aboard the fun train which circled the green, overlooking Christchurch harbour.

Among the exhibitors there are young members of the Forest Arts Club who have spent the last six weeks creating a huge collage especially for the event.

Youngsters will find plenty to do in the special marquee for children, hosted by Mudeford Junior School, and there will be entertainment from singer, bands and dancers.

The event includes 65 arts and crafts stalls and demonstrations haven taken place and continue tomorrow.

Admission to the festival is free and it will be open from 11am until 5pm.
