AN EVENTS company is taking over Bournemouth’s Print Room restaurant to create a ‘winter wonderland’ in the run-up to Christmas.

Seventa Events, which created a ‘pop-up’ restaurant on the sands of Bournemouth beach this summer, is to do something similar with the Print Room and Ink Bar, in the Daily Echo’s former press hall on Richmond Hill.

It will put on a series of Christmas events throughout December, ending with a New Year’s Eve bash.

The Print Room itself will become a ‘Christmas playground’, open from Wednesday to Friday, during the day and evenings for ‘shared’ Christmas parties. It will offer small groups the chance to take part in large scale Christmas parties with three-course meals, drinks and live entertainment.

At weekends, the Print Room will become a Christmas food market and bar, with live entertainment on Saturday evenings until 1am.

Sundays will see favourite films on the big screen all day, accompanied by food and drink.

Seventa will turn the neighbouring Ink Bar into a Winter Wonderland Bar with cocktails, Christmas drinks, Christmas-themed tapas, platters and hot sandwiches, every Wednesday to Sunday from 11am until late.

Simon Brooks, managing director of Seventa, said: “Following the success of our summer pop-up restaurant, we were keen to produce another, even more spectacular pop-up event – and of course, it doesn’t get any more spectacular than at Christmas time.

“We’ve taken the opportunity to take over The Print Room and Ink Bar and will be spreading Christmas magic across Bournemouth this December.”

Seventa’s ‘Christmas Takeover’ will be open from the last week of November.
