Well done the ECHO for an excellent front and back page tribute to those who served and those who died in WW1.

I for one will be doing the lights out at 10pm with a picture of my grandfather alongside the light. He came back from WW1 but his health suffered always, my sister and I learnt the old songs from the war from him.

Can anyone tell me why there are thumbs down to all the comments on this thread. How evil can some readers get.

wars are blood sacrifices and money making ventures for royalty and elites,

just a shame so many brainwashed cannon fodder sheeple fell, and gave their lives for it and continue to do so.

    roll on WW3.

I find it offensive that they are 'commemorating' the start of the war. Surely you would do that to remember the END of such an horrific event.
Totally blatant worship of death and blood sacrifice. Thought some of them looked shame faced on TV, maybe they know we're onto them.
I mean is there anyone left who can't see how blatant they're being in their Satanic symbolism?!Blood poppies spilling from their tower (a symbol of torture in itself) in the form of "art". Truly sick.

It's just the Elite celebrating death and misery, as per usual.

Its a shame that many lost their lives so that people like you survived.
