POLICE are appealing for information after a 16-year-old boy was ‘barked’ at and head-butted during an assault in Poole bus station.

The incident involved the teenager from Poole who was stood with a friend waiting for a bus when an unknown man ‘barked’ at the boy aggressively for seemingly no reason.

When the victim asked what the man was doing, the suspect head-butted the boy and ran off toward the service road by the Dolphin shopping centre.

Dorset Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to following the assault, which happened on Sunday, June 8, at around 2.20pm.

PC Simon Young from Poole Police said that the boy sustained a small cut to his face as a result of the attack.

He added: “I urge the man pictured, or anyone who recognises him, to contact the police as soon as possible.”
