TWO men have been arrested in connection with an alleged robbery at Barclay's Bank last week.

The bank, in Wallisdown Road, was said to have been raided by a robber disguised with blue tape at around 10am on Thursday, who made off with cash in a green Peugeot Estate driven by a second man.

It was believed a security device attached to the money discharged inside the car, covering the interior with red dye.

Dorset Police, who last week released CCTV images of a suspect, said they were still seeking witnesses to the incident despite the arrests.

The detained men - both from Bournemouth and aged 51 and 36 - were arrested earlier today on suspicion of robbery and are helping police with their enquiries.
