A MOTORCYCLIST has spent another night in hospital, where he remains in a critical condition following a crash on the A31.
The man, in his 40s, was riding a Suzuki GSXR 1000 motorbike, registered to a Lymington address, when it was involved in the incident, close to the Roundhouse Roundabout, near Sturminster Marshall, on Friday at around 8.30am.
Police said yesterday evening that his condition remained the same. He was taken to Southampton General Hospital by the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance with serious leg and stomach injuries.
It is not believed that the driver of the black Ford Fiesta, registered to a man in his forties from Somerset, which was also involved in the collision, sustained any injuries.
Officers from Dorset Police, pictured right, closed the A31 both ways from the Roundhouse Roundabout along to the Lake Gates Roundabout, while an investigation was carried out, before it was reopened at 1.40pm.
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Dorset Police on 101, quoting incident number 67.
