COMMUNICATIONS agency Deep South Media (DSM) has appointed another former journalist to its expanding PR division.
Former Oxford Mail news and feature writer Debbie Granville has joined the Dorset-based company as an account director.
Mrs Granville has spent the last 19 years in journalism and PR, latterly writing for the Oxford Mail and Times and its associated titles in Wiltshire.
A former press officer for IPC Media and its magazine titles including Woman’s Own and Country Life, Mrs Granville has also promoted England both domestically and internationally as a press officer for the English Tourist Board.
In her new role with DSM, she will be providing press office, communications and PR support for existing clients across the south and the west as well as developing new clients in the leisure and tourism industry. Mrs Granville said: “I am excited to be joining Deep South Media and its team of former journalists.
“The company is thriving and has a great reputation. I am looking forward to adding to its continuing success.”
Andrew Diprose, joint managing director, said: “Debbie is a great catch for Deep South Media. We think she’ll be a hit with both existing and future clients thanks to her blend of writing, people and communication skills.”
