Thousands of people, millions of pounds worth of vehicles and hundreds of stunning images capturing all the tricks, stunts and memorable moments of Bournemouth'e first-ever Wheels Festival, made the event a success to be repeated.

Organisers have already named the date for next year's event - May 23-25, 2015 - heralding the  inaugural Wheels Festival 'record-breaking'.

With Formula 1 vehicles racing along the East Cliff, monster trucks on the beach and breath-taking stunts from BMX riders and motocross riders, there were many highlights to be seen.

And that's without throwing stunt rider Dan Whitby's two-time Pier Jump into the mix.

To celebrate the success, we've compiled a selection of our favourite images snapped by Daily Echo photographers. Let us know your favourite below.
